The Creative's Pricing Power Toolkit: Stop Undercharging & Start Earning

If you've ever said "I don't know what to charge" or felt guilty asking for payment, this toolkit is for you. Includes pricing formulas, rate calculators, and scripts for confidently communicating your value - so you never leave money on the table again.

Built by someone who's been underpaid and knows exactly how to fix it.

Does This Sound Like You?

Promblems

#1

Talented But Broke

You know you're good. You've put in the years, the practice, the sacrifice. But the money still doesn't reflect what you're worth. It's frustrating, confusing, and quietly humiliating. And every month that passes without traction makes you wonder if you're the problem — when the truth is, you were just never given the right structure.

#2

Generic Advice That Doesn't Apply to You

You've tried the business podcasts, the YouTube rabbit holes, the hustle-culture gurus. None of it was built for someone like you. Generic frameworks assume you're selling software or services — not creative work with real emotional and artistic stakes. You're not lazy or resistant. You're just being given the wrong map.

#3

The "Selling Out" Trap

Every time you try to put a price on your work or promote yourself, that voice kicks in. "Real artists don't do this." "You're being commercial." "You're betraying the craft." That story has been keeping you underpaid for years. And it's not even yours — you absorbed it from a culture that was never on your side.

#4

Feast or Famine Income

Some months you're busy. Most months you're not. You piece together gigs, commissions, or teaching hours with no real system underneath it. The unpredictability is exhausting, and the financial anxiety bleeds into your creative work. You can't build when you're constantly in survival mode.

#5

Imposter Syndrome on Repeat

You downplay your credentials. You charge less than you're worth. You hesitate before calling yourself a professional. The self-doubt is constant, and no amount of positive feedback seems to stick. What you need isn't a mindset hack — you need real proof that your work has professional value, backed by real systems.

#6

Burnout Disguised as Passion

You love what you do. That's what makes overwork so easy to justify. You push through exhaustion because it feels like commitment. But passion without structure becomes a fast track to burnout. And burned-out artists don't make good art — or good income.

#7

Feast or Famine Income

You're posting constantly with nothing to show for it — or you've given up posting at all. You know your work is worth seeing, but you can't crack the code on getting it in front of people who will actually pay for it. Visibility without strategy is just noise.

#8

No Community, No Accountability

You're doing this alone. Maybe you have supportive friends, but no one around you truly understands the creative professional's reality. Without peer accountability and real feedback, it's easy to stall, overthink, and stay stuck in the planning phase indefinitely. You need a room full of people who get it — and push you forward.

If any of this sounds familiar — you're not broken. You were just never given the right tools.

A Proven System Built for the Way Artists Actually Work

Most programs tell you to "monetize your passion" and hand you a business template built for tech founders. Artistpreneur Academy is different — because it was built by someone who has spent 30 years inside the creative economy, not observing it from the outside.

The SPECTRUM Framework isn't a motivational course. It's a professional development system. It addresses both the practical side of building a creative career (business structures, pricing strategy, income stacking, promotion) and the psychological side (money shame, imposter syndrome, fear of visibility, and the "selling out" myth that keeps talented artists underpaid).

Here's the belief shift that changes everything: structure doesn't limit your creativity. It protects it.

When you have systems in place, you stop scrambling. You stop undercharging. You stop waiting for someone to give you permission to call yourself a professional. You start making decisions from clarity instead of fear.

By the end of this program, you'll have a functional business model built around your creative work, income streams that don't depend on luck or exposure, and the professional identity to back it all up.

This isn't about becoming someone you're not. It's about finally operating as the professional you already are.

The SPECTRUM Framework An 8-week system to shift your identity, build your income, and lock in your creative career.

Stage 1: Clarity and Identity

Most artists stall not from lack of talent, but from lack of direction. In Stage 1, we cut through the noise and get brutally clear on who you are as a creative professional — what you offer, who you serve, and what has been holding you back.

We tackle the psychological barriers head-on: money shame, imposter syndrome, the "selling out" story. We replace them with a professional identity grounded in reality. You'll define your niche, articulate your value with confidence, and set up the business foundations that make everything else possible. You'll walk out of this stage feeling less scattered and more certain than you have in years.

By the end of Stage 1, you'll stop second-guessing yourself and start showing up like the professional you already are.

Stage 2: Build and Execute

Clarity without action is just daydreaming. Stage 2 is where we build. You'll develop real income streams around your creative work — whether that means pricing your services for the first time, packaging your skills into offers, or creating systems that bring in consistent revenue without burning you out.

You'll learn how to promote your work honestly and effectively, without feeling like a used car salesman. You'll get templates, pricing frameworks, scheduling tools, and access to the Artistpreneur Economic business manual — practical resources you'll use for the rest of your career. This stage is hands-on, high-accountability, and designed to produce visible, tangible results fast.

By the end of Stage 2, you'll have working income systems and a promotion strategy you can actually stick to.

Stage 3: Sustain and Scale

The final stage is where the transformation locks in. Most creatives hit a breakthrough and then quietly slide back into old patterns. Stage 3 exists to make sure that doesn't happen to you.

We focus on resilience, consistency, and building a career that holds up when life gets messy — because it always does. You'll develop a long-term sustainability plan, stack your income streams, and step fully into your professional identity as an artistpreneur. You'll leave with a community of serious, driven creatives behind you, and the tools to keep building long after the program ends.

By the end of Stage 3, you'll have more than results. You'll have a career designed to last.

This isn't for artists who are still on the fence. It's for the ones who are done guessing and ready to build.

Your creative career deserves more than survival. Let's build it properly.

I'm Benjamin Barnes

I've been earning a living from creative work since I was seven years old. Over three decades later, I've released over 110 recordings, toured nationally, built record labels, published two books, founded a nonprofit, and created a multifaceted creative business under Bencasso™.

But I've also survived things nobody puts in a bio. Poverty. Severe mental illness. A catastrophic hand injury that shattered my ability to play violin and guitar, and forced me to rebuild my career from the ground up.

That experience changed how I coach. I know what it's like to watch everything fall apart and have to start over with nothing but craft and determination. I also know what it takes to build something that doesn't collapse under pressure.

I hold degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, a teaching credential, and I've consulted for the U.S. Department of Education. But more than credentials — I've lived the journey you're on.

I'm not here to inspire you. I'm here to show you how it's actually done.

My Mission Is To

My mission is to dismantle the myth that artists must choose between integrity and income.

Talented creatives are not failing because they lack skill. They're failing because they were never given the right structure, the right knowledge, or the psychological support to navigate the creative economy with dignity.

Artistpreneur Academy exists to change that. One artist at a time. We build professionals — not hobbyists, not viral moments, not overnight success stories. Real, sustainable, dignified creative careers that hold up for decades.

You don't have to choose between your art and your livelihood. You just need the right system. And someone who's already walked the path.
